About

My interest in radio began some 50 years ago, when I tuned into the legendary Radio Luxembourg broadcasting in english in the evening and night at 208 meters in the mediumwave band. It was first a couple of years later I started DX’ing, when introduced to it by a friend of my father. The friend had been working as broadcast technician for the Greenlandic Broadcasting Corporation and he introduced me to the exciting world of listening to radiostations from abroad broadcasting on mediumwave and shortwave. It was a real excitement tuning into the many voices on the shortwave and mediumwave bands using an regular living room radio and a short length of wire up at the attic.

For many years, I DX’ed the shortwave and mediumwave broadcast bands, sending reception reports, collecting QSLs on a nearly daily basis.

The two major passions are: Listening to mediumwave- and shortwave-radiostations from around the world, an interest I have had since the early seventies and Bicycletouring, mainly abroad, an interest that goes back to the mid eighties.
