The BBC sent its first Danish language broadcast to Denmark on April 9 1940 at 6.30 pm. The broadcast conveyed the British people’s anger at the German occupation, and with a reference to the introduction of press censorship in Denmark, a brief news brief was also given. Denmark became the 22nd foreign language in the BBC’s relatively new European service, whose first broadcast took place in 1938.
BBC closed it’s danish service on the 10th of August 1957.[/norebro_text]
Radio Moscow 1943-1994
Moscow Radio – ‘Inovesjanie’ (broadcasts to abroad) – was housed in Moscows city centre near Pushkin Square and was set up in 1929 October 29.
Moscow’s foreign radio service, of course, was a political, ideological and propaganda part of the Cold War.
The medium- and shortwave broadcasts began in October 1943, during the second world war, broadcasting Soviet reports from the front and news bulletins.
Moscow Radio’s Danish broadcasts continued until September 1994.
At its peak, Radio Moscow broadcast in over 70 languages using transmitters in the Soviet Union, Eastern Europe, and Cuba.
On 22 December 1993, the Russian president Boris Yeltsin issued a decree which reorganized Radio Moscow with a new name: Voice of Russia. The Russian government’s international radio broadcasting service continued from 1993 until 2014 where it was closed….
Beginning in July 1946, special once-a-week programs were broadcast to Scandinavia in Swedish and Danish and later in Norwegian, as well.
On March 4, 1961, the Danish, Dutch, Italian, Norwegian, and Swedish services were all discontinued to make way for language broadcast to the USSR and eastern european services.

Radio Berlin International (DDR) 1955-1990

Engang summede her af liv.
